  • Hand painted original butterfly art on 19mm pure silk crepe de chine
  • Brilliant blue butterfly hand drawn details on the shawl collar and cuffs
  • The shawl collar can be worn rolled in or out
  • Center front Kimono length 32 inches /  82 cm
  • Center Back Kimono length  24 inches/ 61 cm

THE ARTISTIC PROCESS

  • Each artistic design is hand drawn on natural white pure silk 
  • Using a gutta resist the art outlines are applies
  • Using French dyes and paint brushes the color is blended and applied
  • Steam setting the dyes permanently fixes the color
  • Each piece is then hand washed and pressed 
  • The finished painted piece is then sewn by Lynne Kiel into a final creation of wearable art
