  • The iris's mythology dates back to Ancient Greece when the goddess Iris acted as a link between heaven and earth

THE ARTISTIC PROCESS

  • Each artistic design is hand drawn on natural white pure silk 
  • Using a gutta resist the art outlines are applies
  • Using French dyes and paint brushes the color is blended and applied
  • Steam setting the dyes permanently fixes the color
  • Each piece is then hand washed and pressed 
  • The finished painted piece is then sewn by Lynne Kiel into a final creation of wearable art
