FUN FACTS
  • On February 15th, 1965 , the modern Canadian flag bearing its hallmark maple leaf was raised for the first time on Parliament Hill
  • Today the maple leaf is a recognized symbol of Canada
  • It has also come to symbolize unity , tolerance and peace

  • Golden autumn maples leaves are hand drawn on the shawl collar and cuffs
  • The shawl collar can be worn rolled in or out

  • Soft and flowing the kimono is light and airy in this beautiful gossamer sheer silk 

THE ARTISTIC PROCESS

  • Each artistic design is hand drawn on natural white pure silk with a gutta resist
  • Using French dyes and paint brushes the color is blended and applied
  • The painted silk is steam set permanently fixing the color then hand washed 
  • Each fashion piece is carefully cut out by hand and sewn together by Lynne Kiel
